//The line

The hard part at The Four Horsemen is booking, not standing. Per The Infatuation, reservations release online 30 days in advance at 7am and 'are usually snatched up right away.' The Resy blog quotes general manager Amanda McMillan saying people set alarms internationally to book and the prime-time slots fill right away. The room seats only about 40, with just four tables for four.

There is a real line, and it forms for walk-ins. The Resy blog says roughly half the seating - the bar and front-window seats - is held open for walk-ins all night. McMillan's advice: 'Line up at 5 p.m. when the restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m.' and, more bluntly, 'Wait at the door!' The Infatuation says arriving around the 5:30pm open gives 'a very decent chance you'll be seated right away.'

If the walk-in seats are full, the overflow plan is next door. Per The Infatuation, when there's a wait you can drink at the affiliated bar next door, Nightmoves, until a seat opens. Both sources point to weekend lunch (Friday through Sunday) as the lower-pressure alternative to prime dinner.
